The platform processes everything locally in your browser. You can shorten links, generate custom high-definition QR codes (PNG, SVG, PDF), and export 3D models ready for printing (3MF and STL) without complicated sign-ups.

What 3D printer do I need to print the QR code? ▼

You can print your model on any FDM (filament) technology 3D printer. If you have a multi-material system like Bambu Lab AMS, Prusa MMU, or Anycubic Kobra 3, the 3MF file will automatically assign two colors. If you have a standard single extruder printer, you only need to program a filament change pause (M600 code or layer pause in your slicer) right at the start of the QR relief height.

What is the difference between 3MF and STL format? ▼

The 3MF format is the modern standard of the 3D industry. Unlike a conventional STL file (which only stores a basic geometric mesh without color information), the 3MF exported by reptarQR separates the base from the QR code relief into independent objects with assigned color palettes. This allows you to open it in Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, or PrusaSlicer with colors ready to print in a single click.

Can the 3D printed QR code be read with any smartphone camera? ▼

Absolutely. The scanner of any mobile phone (iOS or Android) detects the light contrast between dark and light modules. To ensure a 100% success rate, we recommend using high-contrast filaments (e.g., white base and black or deep green QR) and matte finishes to avoid light reflections.

Can I add my logo and customize the colors of the QR? ▼

Yes. Our editor allows you to upload your own logo file (in PNG, JPG, or SVG format) to place in the center of the code, select its background shape (square, circle, or transparent), change the module design (rounded, dots, diamond, leaf), and choose solid colors or trending linear gradients.

Do short links or QR codes have an expiration date? ▼

No, static QR codes generated never expire because the information (URL, WiFi network, VCard contact, or text) is encoded directly into the physical matrix of dots. They will work permanently as long as the linked destination remains active on the internet.

Is there any limit to the number of links or QR codes I can create? ▼

We do not impose artificial limits on use or number of downloads. You can generate as many QR codes and shorten as many web addresses as you need for your personal or commercial projects.

How does the WiFi network QR code work? ▼

By selecting the WiFi tab and entering the network name (SSID) and its password, the QR code is encoded under the universal standard protocol. When any guest points with their mobile camera, the device will ask if they want to connect to the WiFi network and will link immediately without having to dictate or write long passwords.

What happens to the privacy of the data I enter on the website? ▼

At reptarQR we take privacy very seriously. All QR code generation, 3D mesh calculation, and visual rendering are done locally in your own browser using JavaScript and Three.js. Your texts, WiFi passwords, or logos are never stored on our servers.
